Hi - I learned about this site and Justin's condition from my Mom, Ginny - who is an old friend of Sue Bissett. I am so sorry to hear about his struggle, and me and my family are all praying for him. He's got a great smile, and I hope everyday is a happy one for him.

Hey Bissett's! I PROMISE that we are going to call. In the meantime, we have been keeping up with Justin's progress on the site. I have just been swamped lately. Leslie's birthday party was today and I have been preparing for that. We have been trying to coordinate a trip to the Burzynski clinic along with several other clinics here locally (Naturopath for one) to determine the best course of action from this point for Leslie. So sorry you have had a rough start on ANP. I certainly hope all goes well this time! God Bless all of you. Mary Schmidt (Leslie's mom)

We have been praying for Justin. Did you get back home yet? Let me know if there is anything I can to do to help. It can be very overwhelming at first. Keeping in touch with those that have "been there" always helps, even if to just realize that its the same things others went through. By the way, seems many doctors went to that conference in Japan. Our oncologist, Dr. Goldman, and Dr. Burzynski went. I believe they spoke about starting clinical trials in Chicago. Let us know how things are going and we will continue to pray. Just wanted to wish you all well in Houston. I'm so glad you are trying the treatment. My son is Ryan Smith and I had spoken with Jeff several months ago about Dr. Burzynski. As a mom who's been there, learning and trying to absorb more than any parent should have to, don't get discouraged, the treatment will become second nature before too long. We hope and pray it works as well for Justin as it did for Ryan. Ryan was ten when diagnosed and because of the treatment is here today and going on nineteen. It takes a lot of courage and commitment but from reading your web site it sounds like you have not only courage and commitment but an incredible support system. Justin & Casey are adorable and very courageous too. We wish you continued success...your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Justin, Your story is reaching all the way across the U.S. – we learned about your illness here in Las Vegas, Nevada because our daughter Christine emailed to tell us about you. We are old, long-ago friends of your Grandma Sue. Christine took swimming lessons with your dad when he was about your age, and he was a drummer in the high school band when Christine played trumpet there, and your mom was in the chorus. We are so sorry that you are ill, but we can see what a fighter you are and you won’t let this illness beat you. You are a very courageous boy and we want to send you our love and tell you and your family that we are praying for you all. Shirley Winslow

Hey Justin & Family! Great MRI report!! I'm so happy for you! Leslie has bee in the hospital a couple of times, plus we have been out of town and I've been out of touch a bit lately. Please keep us posted on your progress at Burzynski. We have been in contact with them as well and are encouraged that Justin is eligible for treatment. We will pray for God's continued guidance for the family and Doctors in eliminating this tumor.

Hi Justin, Our names are Sam and Molly. We are twins who are going to be 5 years old on June 14th. We go to the Hampstead Montessori School and we were really excited to help raise money for your fund. We have asked all our friends to make a donation to your fund instead of giving us birthday presents at our party. We are going to send all the money as well as a card signed by all our friends. We hope these donations can help you and your family make things a little bit better. Our family knows what it is like to spend time in the hospital. I (Sam) spent the first 4 months of my life in the hospital (NICU) and many other visits after that. I was born a little over a pound and now I am up to 25 pounds. I am doing great now because everyone kept very good positive thoughts for me. Now we are all keeping very positive thoughts for you and hope that you too will be feeling much better. Please let us know where we can send you our card and donations. Our birthday party is on June 17th. We all hope you are feeling better soon. Love, Sam and Molly Goodnow and friends
