Magic Guidelines

You do not have to preregister your magic.

You must check in with the magic marshal before you use any spells at the event.

You must check any magic weapons or items with the magic marshal before they can be used. The magic marshal will be following the Magic Item Rules listed below.

Any items or weapons that are used without approval by the Magic Marshal will be removed from play for the duration of the event.

 

Magic Item Rules

Powers that work:

  1. Any magic weapons that are JUST magic weapons.

  2. Any one (1) power in an item or weapon that effectively duplicates the spell effects of a first through fifth circle spell.

  3. Anything that the Eventholder or Magic Marshal says works (even if it does not fall into the above categories).

  4. All Knights' Knightly Powers that are listed in this year's Omnibus to the Realms are considered pre-registered and do not need to be checked in with the Magic Marshal.

Powers that will NOT work:

  1. Any power involving invisibility or teleportation.

  2. Any power that involves breaking mages' weapon restrictions.

  3. Any power that bestows armor points on locations not physically covered by the item itself.

  4. Any powers obtained from an item that is not stealable/searchable OR does not have any blue on it.

  5. Any scrolls or potions created at previous events (unless they were specifically released by the eventholder as the event's magic item).

  6. Mithril items function as unbreakable items, but they do NOT function as magical items or as silver item.
