Queen of Hearts XIII
Boffer Tournaments
Champions' Tourney
- It's the single toughest tourney in the Realms today. It lasts two
days long and if you win, you'll be in very good company.
One Man Tourney
- The best male fighters from each team compete against each other to
determine who is the best.
One Woman Tourney
- The best female fighters from each team compete against each other
to determine who is the best.
Couples' Tourney
- You have to be willing to kiss each other. In public. Possibly a great
many times. You also fight other couples from other teams, of course.
Knights' and Squires' Tournament
- A Knight and his/her Squire may enter in these tournaments. They may
compete both as a team and individually.
-
Spirit & Steel Tournament
- A spellcaster and a fighter team up in this traditional two-person
team competition.
Pages' Tournament
- This tournament is for children ages 7-12. This is the one tournament
that teams may enter as many entrants as they want. In the spirit of
having fun, it will not be run in a competitive fashion - there will
be no "losers" in this tourney. Teams earn 1 point per page
entered in the Pages Tourney.
Mages' Tournament
- Your team's Mage must enter this tournament. Be prepared for anything and everything.
RATs' Tourney
- "RATs" are Rogues, Assassins and Thieves (Rogues in the
traditional sense.) Anything can happen, any of your skills might be tested, only a true jack of all trades has a chance.
Rangers' Tourney
- You get to do rangery stuff. You should expect to spend a good chunk
of time doing this tournament if you are your team's entrant.
Boffer Archery Tourney
- Involves one on one combat, and perhaps more!
Daggers, Single Short, Florentine, Sword and
Shield and Hand and a Half
- Simple weapon-style tournaments.
-
Duncan's Challenge
- You must win 3 out of five fights against your opponent. You have
a choice of five weapons (dagger, single short, florentine, sword &
shield and hand and a half) for each fight, but once you use a weapon
combo, it may not be used again. In the first fight, both fighters pick
their weapons simultaneously. After the first fight, the person that
won the previous fight must pick first, and their oppoent can choose
which weapons they want to counter with.
5-Person Tournament
- It's your best four plus your Champion.
Newbies' Tourney
- Your newbie must have started eventing since the previous year's
Queen of Hearts. This is a change from previous years.
They will be asked not only to demonstrate their prowess in combat,
but also their knowledge of the rules, etiquette (unwritten rules)
and Realms history & current
events (both in and out of character.) How well do you prepare the
people you bring into the Realms?
