Running a Team for Queen of Hearts
The title of "Queen of Hearts" is an honorific title, which
will be given to whoever wins the most competitions at the Queen of Hearts
Tounaments and War Maneuvers.
The number of teams allowed to compete for the title will be limited
to 5 this year.
To compete for the title of Queen of Hearts, you must meet the following
criteria:
- You must have a distinct banner at least 2' by 2' in size. Matching
heraldry for your team and true supporters is purely optional.
- You must have FIVE True Supporters
One must be your Champion. Your Champion will represent your team in
the Champions' tourney.
One must be your Mage. Your Mage will represent your team in the Champion
Mages' tourney.
One must be your Seneschal. Your Seneschal is responsible for managing
the deployment of your forces, making sure that your team is represented
in as many tournaments as possible.
Two must be Generals. A General must be present at, and must lead your
forces during every war maneuver your team competes in.
At least one of your True Supporters must be a Woman, and at least one
must be a Man.
- You must pre-register your team and the names of your FIVE
True Supporters ASAP.
- You must have at least 10 people on your team (you may want more...).
Please note that 10 is not even enough to field a complete Chess team
- that takes 17 people.
All tournaments are live steel unless you are told otherwise by a marshal.
There will be a solar powered Ressurection Point on-site. When you die,
go directly to the Resurrection Point. Do not talk (you're dead.) Hold
your weapons over your head. Do not run. Corpses en route to Resurrection
Points that are talking, not holding their weapons over their head, or
running may be stopped and instantly scalped by a Marshal. After being
raised at the Resurrection Point, you may not return to the battle you
just came from, assuming it is still continuing (unless you are told otherwise
by the Marshal.) The Marshals may choose to shortcut the use of this ressurection point
depentant on time restraints.
Armor may be worn in all war maneuvers unless you are told otherwise by
a marshal. Repair Armor spells will be required to fix armor. There will
not be a forge on-site, so if you want to destroy your armor fighting
in tournaments, go right ahead. We strongly recommend that you save it
for night questing. If a team makes a Mystic Forge available without restriction
to everyone on site, the Marshals may simply allow all armor to come back after each fight.
Each team may enter each tournament once. As individuals win tournaments,
they will be given playing cards representing their contribution to their
team. These cards are worth points towards becoming Queen of Hearts. After
the Marshal gives you a card, it cannot be removed from your body until
the end of the event. It can't be stolen and you should avoid putting
it down anywhere. However, you must have it and be alive at the end of
the event in order for it to count. If you lose it, that's your problem.
If anyone is caught stealing cards, they risk disqualifying their entrant
for Queen of Hearts, and may be asked to leave the event.
